Group Formation

We recommend you sign up for one or more of our affinity groups here. Once one of your selected groups reaches 10 people, we'll assign a coach and email everyone to pay and get started.

Once a coach is assigned to your group, they will reach out to find a consistent weekly timeslot that works for the attendees of the group.

Sessions are facilitated and coached by our network of Human Performance Coaches. Coaches are all graduates of the program who remain active and “in the area” continuing to train at higher levels. The network has coaches from across industries including founders, c-suite, education, military service members (active and retired), engineers, fitness trainers, and beyond.

Our team will use data from your specific teams as well as the coach's profile and feedback to find the best fit combined with availability.

To train with individuals who have similar careers, interests, cultural backgrounds, or lifestyles, please register with one of our affinity groups here. Once one of your selected groups reaches 10 people, we'll assign a coach and we'll email everyone to pay and select a day and recurring timeslot for training.

We recommend everyone start with Module 1 as it's the basis of all our training.

The Training

Leadership coaches guide sessions that are rooted in participants' work and driven by real-life situations, as opposed to hypothetical scenarios. All sessions are interactive and not lecture-based.
Example curriculum: Working/Not Working: Participants rapidly identify the top issues and opportunities in their organization or team/department. Participants vote to capture the group's collective intuition. This list then serves as the basis for learning how to debate throughout the session, focusing on the real work your team faces. Red Arrow Behaviors: Participants identify and practice reducing the unconscious defensive behaviors that hinder others from telling them the truth.

In this course, you'll be training on the foundation of good decision-making, which is the most valuable skill of the 21st century. As the world and its problems become more complex and uncertain, the work skills that have served us (things like hard work, public speaking) no longer give the same impact if we aren't constantly training and sharpening our decision making. As such individuals and organizations that aren't training decision making will rapidly become obsolete due to AI, automation, outsourcing, and other emerging ways to handle straightforward work. In addition to faster and better decision-making, graduates can expect enhanced relationships, better communication, increased resilience.

Each module lasts one hour per week over 13 consecutive weeks, with no formal homework. Sessions are strictly limited to one hour to respect everyone's time and the program occupies 2% of a standard workweek as research suggests that consistency increases adoption whereas intense change can face resistance and rejection.

Consistent attendance is encouraged as peer participation is key for habit formation and program success. If absences are unavoidable, attendees should communicate with their coach. Coaches may reschedule if conflicts impact most team members, such as holidays or special events.

Yes, training is hosted virtually, typically via Zoom or another video conferencing software. Training is offered in English, Chinese and Spanish. We request that all participants attend with their cameras on to allow for non-verbal cues and establish a more human connection.

Graduates receive Next Jump Leadership and Decision-Making module certification, and coaches may recommend them for coaching roles. Participants that miss a significant number of sessions or do not complete exercises may not receive certification, at the coach's discretion.

The 13 week program has 3 phases: Investment (first 4 weeks), Signals of Success (middle 4 weeks), and Return on Investment (last 5 weeks). During the investment phase you'll be learning new concepts. Some are eager to apply them while others may be confused or skeptical- all are normal. In signals of success, attendees will start to notice increased self-awareness, and awareness of others. In ROI phase, you will start to feel upgraded, and others may notice the change in you as well.

Payment

For an individual, one module is $750. All 4 modules (1 year's worth of training) is $3000. A group of 10 is $7500 or $9500 with advanced tech assessments. This training could be free to you if your company offers a development or learning stipend/subsidy, as they often will cover the cost of the training.

Some employers help cover the cost of professional development, training, or educational courses for their employees. If yours does, it may pay for Next Jump's decision-making training.

To determine if you have a corporate stipend available to you, you should: a. Check your company's employee handbook or benefits package documentation. b. Ask your manager or your HR or benefits representative. c. Look for any announcements or internal communications regarding corporate stipends. If you need help navigating your corporate subsidy or stipend, reach out to us at info@nextjump.com.

Once you have confirmed that you have a corporate stipend available, follow these steps to apply it towards Next Jump's decision-making training: a. Speak to your manager or HR or benefits representative of your interest in using the stipend for Next Jump's training. b. Fill out any forms required, providing the necessary details, such as the course name, cost, and any other relevant information, to your HR or benefits representative. c. Follow your company's specific process to submit a request for reimbursement or direct payment. If you need help or materials to submit for approval, reach out to us at info@nextjump.com.

With the cost of our training being $750 per module, or $3000 for all 4 modules, this falls below the average yearly development stipend. However, if yours is less, or you have already used some of your stipend elsewhere, you may need to cover the difference out-of-pocket. Alternatively, you can discuss with your manager or HR representative to explore additional funding options, such as departmental budget allocations or company-wide training initiatives.

As our training is designed to improve skills around decision-making, and as we all make decisions, it's applicable to all roles across all industries. Participants report increased collaboration, communication, and even improvements in home-life, as well as material improvements in their performance metrics as a result of improved decision-making. We have seen people across roles and industries get approval for this training, if you need materials to submit for approval, reach out to us at info@nextjump.com.
